About the Director
Ashley Whelchel graduated from Brenau University in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education. In 2010,
she received her Master's of Fine Arts in Conducting from the University of Georgia. During her college years, she conducted
a church choir, taught at the prestigious Firespark camps, and occasionally acted as student conductor of the Brenau Chamber
Choir. She is currently directing the Lanier Hills Church Choir and is the Choral Director at America
High School.
